Start with the map
Canadian policing is arranged by geography more than anything else. Ontario and Quebec run their own provincial forces. Everywhere else, provincial policing is the RCMP under contract, and in many communities the RCMP is the municipal police as well. Cities and regions with their own services hire locally.
So the first question is not which badge appeals to you. It is where you are willing to live.
The question to ask a recruiter
