What the reports hold

Supershift tracks earnings, shift differentials, hours per shift type, overtime and shift counts such as vacation, sick and training days. Its own listing puts the purpose plainly: checking a payroll cheque and making tax time easier. For a nurse or a driver that is a genuinely useful summary.

Published review summaries of Supershift repeatedly ask for better handling of holiday pay and of hours over a threshold — a fair reflection of what any rate-times-hours model can do.

Why police pay defeats the model

Extra work in this job does not arrive as hours over a line. It arrives as court, a callout, a hold-over, a detail that ran long — each paid under a different article of a different agreement, some of it banked as comp time rather than paid at all. A single overtime total cannot separate them, so it usually ends up checked by hand anyway.

Being straight about BlueShifts

BlueShifts does not track overtime and does not hold what your regular duty schedule earns. If an overtime figure is what you need, Supershift produces one and this app does not.
