Switching from another shift app
Most of what makes switching feel like work is imaginary. A shift calendar holds one thing that matters — your rotation — and a rotation is a pattern and a date, not a year of typing.
Two things to have in front of you
Your pattern, in the words your agency uses for it — four on, four off; two-two-three; five and two. And the date of your next first day on. That is the whole setup. If you are not sure what your pattern is called, tap four weeks of it out and it will tell you.
Setting it up
Install, pick the template that matches or build the cycle yourself, and set the start date. No account, no sign-in, and it works with no internet connection. Then the rest of the year draws itself, and you can put your own events and existing calendars alongside it.
Run both for a month
Nobody should have to trust a calendar on day one. Leave the old app where it is and use them side by side until the new one has been right through a full cycle. If the old one is a subscription, though, cancel it first — see below.

What to check for the app you are leaving
CopApp or ShiftWave
Both are rotation-first, so all you are carrying across is the cycle and the date of your next first day on. Neither holds paid duty jobs, so there is nothing else to move. The full comparison.

Its listing says your schedule sits on the device, so there is no account to close and nothing to download before you go. If you bought Pro, that is a one-off you keep — you can leave the app installed and run both for a month. The full comparison.
My Shift Planner
The Pro Pack is a subscription, and a subscription is cancelled in the App Store or Play Store, not by deleting the app. Do that first or it keeps billing. Export or screenshot anything you want to keep. The full comparison.

What comes with you, and what does not
The rotation comes across in a minute. Your paid duty work starts from the day you install, because no other app records it in a form that could be moved — that history is a fresh start rather than an import. And to be straight about it: if you are leaving because you want regular-duty overtime tracking or an earned-days-off bank, BlueShifts does not do those.
