Which jobs are actually worth taking?

You already half-know the answers. One coordinator always calls on a Friday. One company pays better but the drive is brutal. One still owes you for a job in March. BlueShifts keeps the record that turns that into something you can look at — built from jobs you already logged, with nothing entered twice.

Where does your work come from? Scheduler effectiveness — what your working relationship with one person is really worth.

That last number is the one worth sitting with. If a third of your off-duty year runs through one coordinator, that is worth knowing before they retire, move divisions, or stop calling.

Which days do you actually work for them? Not when they call — when your rotation lets you say yes.

You normally work Fri–Sat for this scheduler

Most coordinators call seven days a week. Your rotation decides which of those calls you can take, so this is not a picture of when work is offered — it is a picture of when work actually happens for you.

That makes it useful in a way an offer list would not be. It shows which of your days off keep getting spent, which employers only ever fit one corner of your week, and what you are really giving up when you agree to swap a Friday. When your bid changes and the rotation moves, this picture moves with it.

All of it builds itself from jobs you have already logged. Nothing is entered twice.

Who pays best? Employer effectiveness — one employer against the pooled average of everyone else who hires you.

E This employer vs. your othersAverages per event, this year
MetricThis employerYour othersDifference
Hourly pay$104.20$92.30↑ 13% higher
Pay per event$846.00$568.00↑ 49% higher
Miles per event99 mi81 mi↓ 22% higher
Hours per event8:076:09↑ 32% higher

This is the number that changes decisions. It is the difference between thinking a job pays well and knowing it pays 13% better an hour but costs you 22% more driving to get there. When two jobs land on the same Saturday, that is what you want in front of you.

And the arrows are not all good news by design — more miles is marked in red, because more miles is not a win.

Every scheduler and every employer carries the same split. It is very hard to forget an unpaid job when it is sitting in red on that employer's own page — and when you need it on paper, any date range exports as a PDF with every job listed and the year totalled.

This is a real screen, not a mock-up The same analysis, in the app.

Everything above comes from the app's own analytics, redrawn here so it is readable on a phone. The figures on this page are examples, not anyone's real pay.

Nothing on these screens is entered twice. You log a job once — the employer, the hours, the rate, the miles — and every one of these views builds itself from that.

And none of it leaves your phone unless you choose to share it. There is no account, no cloud copy and no analytics on you. If you link with someone, they see your shifts and events — never your pay.
