The sworn sub-unit of the Department of Cannabis Control, its Law Enforcement Division, carries out criminal investigations related to illegal commercial cannabis activities in the State of California. It is a law enforcement sub-unit of a non-law enforcement agency, POST certified, with peace officer powers held under Business and Professions Code section 26015 and Penal Code section 830.2(j), and 77 sworn personnel.
