The Maryland Department of State Police is a full-service law-enforcement agency working through a network of 23 barracks statewide, with about three quarters of its sworn personnel in the Field Operations Bureau. Its Criminal Investigation Bureau holds the Forensic Sciences Division, Computer Crimes Section, Homicide Unit, Gun Enforcement Unit and the Maryland Center for Missing and Unidentified Persons.
