Mississippi ABC Enforcement is responsible for maintaining fair and equitable enforcement of the Local Option ABC law, prohibition laws, and state beer laws. To accomplish this mission, the ABC has a total of 36 enforcement agents located in nine offices throughout the state; twelve positions were added due to legalisation of medical cannabis, and ABC Enforcement is also tasked with licensing, regulating and enforcing the law for medical cannabis dispensaries within the state. In 2024, ABC Enforcement executed 46 search warrants, recorded approximately 1,185 minor violations and 48 illegal possession or sale of alcohol offences, seized five illegal distilleries, and conducted over 500 permit investigations and approximately 2,370 compliance inspections on permitted businesses.
