The Northern Mariana Islands Department of Public Safety polices Saipan, Tinian and Rota from the Jose M. Sablan Building in Susupe, with resident offices on the two outer islands. Its police division runs patrol, a criminal investigation bureau, highway patrol and a boating safety section, and the department also holds the Bureau of Motor Vehicles and the territory's Highway Safety Office. Fire and emergency medical services were separated into their own department in 2015.
