About Price County
Price County Sheriff's Office covers a large, thinly populated county in Wisconsin's northwoods — some 1,250 square miles for around 14,000 people — from Phillips. Its dispatch center answers calls around the clock, every day of the year, and assigns an officer to attend; residents of Phillips and Park Falls are directed instead to those cities' own police departments. The office publishes severe weather alerting through CodeRED, takes part in the Wisconsin Crime Alert Network and the state's Silver Alert programme for missing seniors, and accepts anonymous crime reports.
