TSA shift schedule at Santa Barbara Airport
The hours, the tours and how the days off are decided for TSA officers at SBA — taken from the agency’s own airport fact sheet, not from a jobs board.
TSA publishes a fact sheet for every airport it screens, and it sets out the tours worked at that one. Here is what SBA publishes, and what it looks like in the app.
TSA's own airport fact sheet states that "SBA is currently assessing candidates for full and part-time positions", with "40 hours per week tour of duty, five (5) days of eight (8) hours per day; and 20 hours per week tour of duty, five (5) days of four (4)" hours per day, and that current part-time hours cover morning, afternoon and evening shifts.
Sunday to Saturday, twice — the same order the calendar runs in.

Every month, already filled in — no typing, however far ahead you look.

The two days off in the month above are an example, and that is the point. The two tours here are the same five days at half the length, so the choice is about the length of the day rather than the shape of the week. You mark your own two days once and the year fills itself in.

- Full time
- 40 hours a week
- Part time
- 20 hours a week
Screening rosters are set by the airport, adjusted after they are issued, and the days off are bid. Why that is, in TSA’s own words.
