The Sheriff's Office publishes a starting annual salary of $70,993 for a Road Patrol Deputy. The pre-certification grade, Road Patrol Deputy Trainee, starts at $63,994.32; CCSO pays academy costs, hotel, per diem and salary while a trainee attends. Sign-on bonuses are $1,500 for non-certified appointments and $3,000 for certified ones, and a degree adds to base pay.
