The Gretna Police Department is the municipal force for the City of Gretna in Gadsden County, a city of about 1,360 on US 90 some 25 miles west of Tallahassee and eight miles south of the Georgia line. It fields five full-time and two part-time officers, is accredited by the Commission for Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation, and runs online reporting for code violations, patrol requests, anonymous crime tips and ticket payment from its own site.
