Current official Enforcement recruitment separates trainee pay from certified Deputy pay: trainee $31.40/hour and certified Deputy Step 1 $34.48/hour, or $71,718.40 annually. The certified Enforcement Deputy is the post-academy law-enforcement rate.
Entry-level base salary only. Overtime, bonuses, education incentives, shift
differentials, locality pay and lateral rates are excluded, so most officers earn more
than this.
