About McLeod County
McLeod County Sheriff's Office serves a south-central Minnesota county from the Courthouse and Law Enforcement Center at Glencoe, and states its mission as protecting and serving the community in an efficient and professional manner. Its patrol division handles general patrol, traffic education and enforcement and emergency response across the county and in the cities that contract for its services. An investigation division takes referrals from patrol on cases from property crime to complex narcotics work, and also handles conflict-of-interest investigations referred by other jurisdictions. The office carries the statutory duty of civil process — subpoenas, eviction and foreclosure notices and other legal service — and runs the county's emergency management function.
