What they can do
Supershift added multiple jobs and multiple event calendars, so a second employer can be a second color on the same month. My Shift Planner will run more than one rota in a calendar on its Pro tier. If all you want is to see that Saturday is spoken for, either one is fine.

Why that is not the same thing
An off-duty detail is not a shift with a different color on it. It is a job for a different employer, at a rate that employer set, invoiced through somebody, and paid weeks later — or not. The question that costs officers money is never am I working Saturday. It is which of these people still owes me, and for what.
Nothing in either app's published material answers that, because neither was built for a job where you have six employers in a month.
What BlueShifts keeps
Each job under the employer who hired you: the hours, what it paid, the miles, and whether the money has arrived. That is the record, and it comes out as a PDF when a tax return or a supervisor asks for it.
