My Shift Planner is not syncing with my phone calendar
Nine times in ten it is one of two things: sync is a Pro feature, or the calendar you sent the shifts to is not switched on in your phone.
Check these in order
- Is Calendar Sync part of your plan? Device calendar sync sits inside the Pro Pack on the app's own listing. On the free tier there is nothing to troubleshoot.
- Is the target calendar visible on the phone? The app's support steps start here: make sure the calendar you are syncing into is turned on in the phone's own calendar settings. Shifts written to a calendar the phone is not displaying look exactly like shifts that never arrived.
- Pick the calendar explicitly. In the app's sync settings, select the third-party calendar you want the shifts in, set how the events should look, and confirm.
- Look in the phone calendar first, not in the other app. Their support is firm about this order, and it is right: if the shifts are in the phone calendar but not in the family display you are looking at, the fault is in the sharing, not the sync.

Turning it off, and the mess it leaves
Switching Calendar Sync off should remove the shifts it copied over, and the app has a clear function for emptying a chosen calendar if any are left behind. Worth doing before you change patterns, or you end up with two rotas overlaid on the same month.
The wider point
A synced calendar is a copy. Every copy is another place a schedule can be wrong.
