Getting rid of the ads in My Shift Planner
There are three states the app can be in, and only one of them has no ads.
The three states
- Free. The full calendar with advertising.
- Pro-Lite. Introduced in a 2025 update: watch a short advert and unlock a spell of Pro features — still with ads. It is a trial of the features, not of the quiet.
- Pro. The subscription. Removing the advertising is one of the things it buys, alongside device calendar sync, pay tracking, multiple rotas, leave tracking and sharing.
So there is no settings toggle for this. If the ads are the problem, the route is Pro, and Pro is a monthly or annual subscription with a free first week that converts automatically. Several reviewers on the App Store say the same thing in different words: they would have bought the app outright and will not take on another monthly payment.
What that gets you and what it does not
Worth knowing before you subscribe to stop an advert: the same subscription is what holds your calendar sync and your pay tracking. Cancel it later and those stop with it, which is the part people do not expect.
