NO PRIOR SERVICE IS REQUIRED AND THE LATERAL PATH IS EXPLICITLY SEPARATED IN THE SAME POSTING: “Lateral Applicants - starting wage based on years experience”, with year-for-year credit for service at similar-sized agencies and a signing bonus of up to $3,000 for laterals depending on experience. So the range floor is the non-lateral entry rate, not an experience-priced placement. EXCLUDED: the lateral signing bonus, being neither base pay nor available to an entry hire.
