Riverton City's own portal carries a posting titled **ENTRY-LEVEL POLICE OFFICER** at a Pay Rate of **$30.95 - $33.48 per hour**; $30.95 x 2,080 = $64,376.00. **THIS OVERTURNS AN EARLIER REFUSAL AND THE REASON MATTERS.** Riverton also runs a general POLICE OFFICER posting at $30.95 - $47.65 “depending on experience”, and on that one alone the row was correctly refused — a DOE band spanning $17 an hour names no rate for a person with no service. **The city posts entry-level SEPARATELY, as a narrow $2.53 band, and the two postings share the same floor.** That agreement is what makes $30.95 the measured entry rate rather than an inferred one. **THE LESSON: AN AGENCY CAN RUN TWO POSTINGS AND ONLY ONE OF THEM IS THE ENTRY DOCUMENT.** Sandy does the same (separate entry-level and lateral recruitments).
