Tracking overtime in My Shift Planner
It does track overtime, and it does it against a threshold. That is worth understanding before you trust the number.
What the app does
A 2026 release added automatic overtime calculation with weekly and monthly overtime thresholds, alongside more detailed work time reports. There is an overtime shift type built in, and the reports total your hours against the threshold you set.
Pay figures come from rates you enter, so what you get is an estimate of what the hours should be worth — useful for spotting a short cheque, not a record of what you were actually paid.
What it cannot know
Police overtime does not arrive as hours over a line. It arrives as a court appearance, a callout, a held-over shift, a detail that ran long, and each of those is paid under a different rule in a different agreement. A threshold in a general shift app has no way to tell them apart, which is why the total usually needs checking by hand anyway.

Being straight about BlueShifts
BlueShifts does not track overtime, and it does not track what your regular duty schedule earns. If an overtime total is the thing you need, My Shift Planner does it and this app does not.
BlueShifts does not track your overtime and does not hold your regular duty pay. What it keeps is the other half of the week: each off-duty job under the employer who hired you, and a PDF of it when you need one.
