About Caguas Municipal
The Policía Municipal de Caguas polices Puerto Rico's fifth-largest municipality, in the Valle del Turabo south of San Juan, with a stated mission of preventing violence and crime so that residents and visitors can enjoy the city's streets, parks and public areas in tranquility. The force runs on the uniform five-rank system — cadete, policía municipal, sargento, teniente and capitán — under the municipality's own classification plan, and is backed by the Centro de Control del Sistema de Vigilancia Virtual, the municipal command center that monitors security cameras placed across the city's zones.
