The adopted FY2025-26 City budget explicitly states the starting salary of a Police Officer was raised to $81,232. The current FY26 trainee posting is also $81,232, so there is no lower/higher academy-transition figure to substitute

differentials, locality pay and lateral rates are excluded, so most officers earn more
than this.
